I acquired his elegant brush pot in Hong Kong in the 1980's. I found it in an antique shop on Hong Kong Island up on Hollywood Street. It shows a blossoming tree with a single moth that flies among the branches. The artistic design is remarkable. The technical skills are equally remarkable - for example, notice that the antennae of the moth are as thin as a spiderweb.

This piece has 5 minor flaws which make it not "new" or "like new": In 5 places on the brush pot's there are single petals missing from blossoms. Otherwise, there are no flaws, cracks or stains in this piece.
I have included photos of the brush pot from 4 sides and the bottom. I've also included photos of the 5 missing petals, indicated with blue arrows.
This brush pot is a masterpiece, in spite of the flaws. The famous Greek statue "Venus de Milo" is also a masterpiece with flaws - but her damaged arms don't make her less excellent in any way.
I would welcome hearing from you if you wish to know more information.
