Residency at the Countryside Between Berlin and Leipzig (Berlin)

we’re offering residencies again!
We’re a cute house community at the countryside in Sachsen-Anhalt, 1,5-2 h from Berlin and 40 minutes from Leipzig. We’re 8 people living in a beautiful old villa with a big garden (it’s almost a park). The lake is 750 m away, the forest, too. The house has three floors and there are three dogs living here. Some of us are writers, others work in jobs in the area. Most are queer, some are disabled/chronically ill. The majority of the group is white. Everyone’s very caring and kind with each other.
We started offering artist residencies from the beginning on, and it has been beautiful. People who want to focus on their work and/or on resting in a calm environment come and stay with us for a month.
It is important to mention that as we live at the countryside in Eastern Germany, fascism is a thing here.
General hard facts:
Contribution to the rent and other costs (cars, firewood, ...) is 450 €/month. Timing is flexible, just get in touch with us.
Access information:
There are stairs leading to both entrances of the house. We don’t have an elevator. We have cars. We have no deaf people/people with impaired hearing in the house and no one speaks sign language. Everyone speaks English, most speak German, too. We’re very careful with protecting each other when it comes to infections (Covid, common cold, …). Usually, someone makes dinner for everyone. Tasks are being shared according to abilities. The ground level of the house is the most noisy, second floor is more calm and third floor is the calmest.
