Povenance: I acquired a couple of poster from a WWII era German war bride living in the States. Her Grandfather painted these to protest the war. His studio burned in a "mysterious fire". Only a few pieces were saved. I did some work for her and asked if she could make copies of them. Mine are only copies and the originals remain in her possession. I've lost touch with her over a decade ago. But she wrote me a letter explaining the drawings and had the letter framed with a copy of a photo of her Grandfather. Her Grandfather drew his son in one of the pictures.
I weep every time I have to describe them.
The museums here have "squeaky voice frackers" working for them here in the States that don't have a clue.
They belong in Germany.
