Are you passionate about working with children and teens? Do you love nature, adventure, and outdoor activities? If you are an experienced leader with a strong sense of responsibility, we want you to join our team!
We are looking for a Camp Leader to join our team in Thüringen and Brandenburg, Germany. Our camp focuses on providing kids and teens with memorable experiences through outdoor activities, teamwork, and language learning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise groups of children and teenagers during outdoor activities, excursions, and camp events.
- Ensure safety, well-being, and a positive experience for all camp participants.
- Support the team in organizing and delivering engaging, fun, and educational activities.
- Work closely with other camp staff to create a safe, inclusive, and positive environment.
- Communicate with camp parents and colleagues in both German and English.
Requirements:
- Professional-level German required (approximately C1 or higher, spoken and written).
- Valid EU/International driving license and comfort driving a minibus or other camp vehicles.
- Experience working with children (either through camps, teaching, or other activities).
- Lifeguard certification (preferred).
- Leadership skills and the ability to manage groups in a variety of settings.
- Enthusiasm for nature, outdoor activities, and creating an adventurous, educational environment.
- Flexible, responsible, and highly organised, with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
Bonus:
- Experience in organising or leading outdoor adventure activities, such as canoe tours.
- Knowledge of environmental conservation and sustainability practices.
- A positive, open-minded attitude with a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
Job Details:
Location: Camp sites in Thüringen and Brandenburg (4 hours south of Berlin and near Berlin).
Season: March to October, with flexible work periods throughout the season. We prefer applicants who can commit to the entire season.
